Con la
publicación de “Paisaje[s] humano[s]”,
llega a su fin el proceso de comisariado, catalogación y edición que Colectivo Komite (nunca podré
agradecéroslo bastante compañer+s) ha realizado sobre los Trabajos Fotográficos que han ocupado la mayor parte del tiempo que he dedicado a la
fotografía durante estos casi últimos dos años. No ha sido éste un tiempo de
grandes proyectos, tampoco de grandes búsquedas, pero sí de muchas derivas por
la ciudad; y éstas, si que han merecido la pena. De hecho, entre otras muchas
cosas, han sido el germen de lo que será, esta vez sí, un proyecto exigente y
que requerirá un esfuerzo importante y muchas, muchas horas de trabajo. Pero
eso, será otra historia…
En
cuanto a “Paisaje[s] humano[s]”, bueno, no estaba programado que fuera el
último fotolibro de los Trabajos Fotográficos, ni siquiera es la serie más “redonda” de las realizadas; pero,
supongo que tiene todo el sentido acabar con l+s que, al fin y al cabo, son l+s
mayores protagonistas de la ciudad: sus habitantes.
With the
publication of “Human[s] landscape[s]”,
the work of Colectivo Komite in order to curate, catalogue and edit the
Photographic Works that have filled up my time devoted to photography during
the last couple of years, come to an end (I will never be able to thank you
enough for that guys). It has not been a time to work on “big” projects, nor to
research in other lines of working, but it’s been a time for wandering the
city, and that, well, that’s been absolutely great. In fact, among many other
things, that dérives have been the seeds of what it will be a much demanding
project that will require a significant effort and will undoubtedly be time
consuming. But that will be another story...
With
regard to “Human[s] landscape[s], well, it was not programmed to be the last photobook,
it’s not even the “best” series of the Photograhic Works, but, I
guess it makes sense to end up with, indeed, the main characters in this story:
the inhabitants of the inhabited city.
