Iniciamos el año con dos buenas noticias; una ya la había comentado con anterioridad, y es que, tras su paso por el Festival Outono Fotográfico, el proyecto "Offset" se expondrá en el Festival de Fotografía iNstantes en Portugal. Es genial comprobar como este proyecto que vio la luz en 2014 sigue tan vigente y despertando tanto interés.
Pero, como no solo de rentas vive uno y ya tenía mono de meterme en otros proyectos, acabo de publicar el primer post de Ciudad Capital: un nuevo ensayo visual a través del que intentaremos obtener un mayor conocimiento del actual desarrollo urbanístico de Bilbao y su área metropolitana (al fin y al cabo, es la ciudad que habito), con el propósito de insertar las pequeñas "píldoras de conocimiento" que obtengamos, en el debate que, desde hace ya un tiempo, enfrenta a quienes "piensan" que la ciudad moderna debe atender los propósitos e intereses de quienes "ponen el dinero y crean oportunidades de desarrollo económico" y quienes, por contra, creemos firmemente que la ciudad debe invertir en y atender a las necesidades de su ciudadanía.

We enter 2018 with a couple of good news; the first one, already mentioned in this same blog, it's that, after having been selected to take part in the official section of the Outono Fotografico Photo Festival, the project “Offset” will be exhibited in the Photo Festival iNstantes in Portugal. It's really great to see how a project initiated in 2014 it's still standing and raising so much interest.
But, as one not lives only off the “rents” and I had such a yearning for new projects, I've just published the first post of Capital City: a new visual essay through which we'll try to get more knowledge on the current urban development of the city of Bilbao (after all, it's the city I live in), with the aim of inserting those "knowledge pills" we could obtain into the debate that's already taken place between those who "think" that modern cities should serve the purposes and interests of the ones who "put the money and create oportunities of economical development", and those who, by contrast, firmly believe that cities must invest in and attend to the necessities of their citizens.
